Coming off her win for "Best Original Song" at the Oscars and her stirring performance on the show with Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga leads the way this week in global public engagement. What an incredible week for her.

Donald Trump

Whether you love him or hate him, there is no denying that President Trump draws public attention in a way that is practically unprecedented. It took an Oscar win to keep him out of the top spot and with the continued media and public obsession he is a likely fixture in the top 5 going forward.

The passing of Karl Lagerfeld would be a worldwide story any week, but as it was just before the Academy Awards and the worldwide focus on celebrities and fashion, it received an ever bigger bump in public engagement. His cat may have deserved it's own place on the Index!

With an Oscar performance with Lady Gaga and multiple nominations for "A Star is Born" which he directed, it's not surprising to see Bradley Cooper vault into the top 5.

Certainly not surprising to see a Kardashian or Jenner in the top 5, although I'm sure Khloe Kardashian wishes it was for different reasons. Tristan Thompson, the father of Khloe's baby, was caught hooking up with Kylie Jenner's best friend Jordyn Woods. Predictably, public engagement with this story was massive.
